Carnic Alps (Ovaro)

Some of the hardest road bike climbs in the world can be climb from Ovaro, the well known Monte Zocolan, which has featured several times in the Giro is just one.

Climbs like Passo della Forcella and Monte Crostis are never tried in the Giro, which is understandable when you look at the profiles.

According to PJAMM Cycling there are 4 top hundred climbs here and if this is not enough you can take your car for 80 km. to Lienz, Austria where you will find 6 top 100 climbs.
