Alps (Gries im Ötztal)

If you want to climb some of Austria's beautiful mountains on a road bike, a good place to start could be Gries im Ötztal. One of the highest paved roads in the Alps, the Rettenbacher carpark at 2800 m is nearby and one of the most demanding Granfondo's in Europe Ötztaler radmarathon, start's not far from here in Sölden.
